The Historical Society of Sarasota County, located at 1260 12th Street in Sarasota, Florida, is dedicated to creating awareness of the rich historical heritage of the area. Our Annual Members' Gathering takes place on April 13, 2024, and we have exciting events planned from October 2024 to April 2025. Visit our historic Crocker Memorial Church, dating back to the early 20th century, for community gatherings and educational events. Experience life on the Florida frontier at the Bidwell-Wood House, built in 1882. Our office is open Monday to Friday from 10 am to 2 pm, and you can stay updated on our activities through our social media and blog.
