Tocobaga Temple Mound
Located at 2525 Philippe Parkway in Safety Harbor, Florida, the Tocobaga Temple Mound is a historic institution that offers online access to permitting, inspection scheduling, fee payments, and other services 24/7. The Temple Mound, built by the Native American Tocobaga tribe, is the largest remaining mound in the Tampa Bay region and is a National Historic Landmark. Philippe Park, where the Temple Mound is located, is the oldest park in Pinellas County and spans 92 acres of rich history. Unfortunately, the construction of a new playground at Philippe Park has been postponed, but the current playground remains open for visitors to enjoy. The park is open seven days a week from 7 a.m. until sunset, except for Thanksgiving Day and December 25th when the park is closed.
