Originally opened as the Rutenberg Library in 1991, we became the 9th branch of the Lee County Library System. In 2005, we moved into a larger facility and proudly adopted the name Lakes Regional Library. Our library underwent a significant transformation in 2020, thanks to a generous donation from the Frances Prigmore estate. This gift allowed us to enhance our space with new community study rooms, an expanded and enclosed teen section, and a designated area for “tweens.” These improvements reflect our commitment to providing a welcoming and inclusive environment for everyone.
