"We generally do not invest time giving reviews or any social media, but we felt compelled to do so on behalf of our builder. When we started this process, we were very unsure how things would go considering all of the new regulations in place from Covid as well as supply chain issues that we saw which have affected almost every area of our daily lives. My husband and I had been planning to build in SW Florida and retire there once our careers were done, so in preparation for that, we started interviewing different builders in the area until we found a few that stood out. We knew that we did not want a cookie cutter home and we soon found out that building a "custom home" soon meant that we were limited to choosing a stock plan and only changing certain things which did not appeal to us. This helped us to eliminate the "custom home builders" that restricted us to this process. We ended up choosing Harden Custom Homes because they truly are a custom homebuilder which is what we expected. We met personally with Mark Harden, who was by far the most knowledgable person that we had spoken to during the process. He listened to what we wanted in our home and he made suggestions along the way. We were delighted in the design that he came up with and after a few minor changes, we were good to go. His team was fantastic to work with. They used a system called BuilderTrend to communicate through and it was fantastic! We litterally had daily updates from the staff, it was amazing to see all the pictures of the work being performed. We even had some facetime meetings with the project managers to see some of the finish items being installed. We cannot say enough good things about the whole experience! All in all, the experience was great. Yes, it took a long time to build, but they told us that in the beginning, so we were prepared, so please do not take this as a negative. I would use these guys to build again in a hearbeat and I will be sending them recommendations from all of our friends up here in Minnesota! Great Job Harden Custom Homes!"

"Harden custom homes built our home 2 years ago but this past week my husband and I just experienced the worst hurricane either of us has ever encountered and are shocked with the amount of destruction around us! Our neighbor is the Sarasota County Sheriff and told us they clocked winds in our neighborhood from hurricane Ian at 153 MPH but our house is still standing and looking like it wasn’t even touched! Only a few shingles and one pool screen gone. We are so thankful that we chose Harden to build our home. They are wonderful people and not only do they build a beautiful home but one that is strong enough to withstand a borderline Category 5 hurricane!"

"My wife and I came to Harden Custom Homes well over a year ago. After an exercise of futility looking at other Builders we are now back with HCH and could not be more satisfied. We also found out that there are very few “TRUE” Custom Home Builders in this area as most other builders wanted to sell us a version of their stock plans. We also wanted to note the process for the design/build home was remarkably transparent which allowed us to decide where to spend money on finishes. While no situation is perfect, we are very satisfied with the folks at Harden and would recommend them to anyone wanting to build custom. One thing to take note of, which was spelled out by the builder and he was not wrong, the process for designing and building takes time. So, be patient, it will be worth it in the end!"
