"You rent tubes or whatever else you'd like to do here at the general store! $6.00 state park fee for your car. Then water sport rental and if you want to ride the tram that's extra as well. General store has ice cream and a little grill. T shirts and stickers. Tram can take a while to get to you, walking with your tube is also an option. Staff was the rudest we have encountered at a river so far but we didn't let that ruin anything. It is a beautiful float. North entrance has blue hole and the head spring. We did see two food trucks there, for I'm assuming the busy summer season. We went Monday mid morning and it wasn't busy. Weekends get crazy during summer."
"Ichitucknee is a very nice place to spend time on a pristine Florida River with crystal clear water. The crowds can be tremendous during the summer and on weekends but the crowds are much smaller during the week in the fall and spring. Now (August and September) weekdays are perfect for a visit since school has started back. Everything you need is available for rent in the park."
"2023-07-22: I went to Ichetucknee State Park, South Entrance. The gate was open before 8am, the entrance fee was $6.00 per vehicle. I wasn't able to get a tube or a pass to ride the tram until after 8am. They have an electronic tablet to sign a waiver and to list an emergency contact number. There are a variety of different tubes available to rent. With a tram pass, you can ride the tram for the day, and they drop you off upstream. The general store sells various supplies that may be needed. The general store also has a grill where you can order breakfast and lunch. I didn't actually time each float down, but it was probably an hour and a half. I floated down three times. There are quite a few sunken trees and limbs, and I sustained a few bruises. The rocks at the exit point are very slippery, so use caution when exiting. While floating, you can see herons, egrets, turtles, some wildflowers, and much more. I wish I had a waterproof camera (just ordered one). The photos I posted were taken with my non-waterproof Nikon along the walking path."
"The South Entrance is now where you rent the tubes, which they had a lot of different options to choose from and a general store for all your needs. The tram takes you up the river, which was awesome and worth the money to save you from having to walk. The river is absolutely breathtakingly beautiful and next time I will take a water proof camera to capture it all. It only takes about 90 minutes but your tram pass is good for the whole day so you can float it more than once if you want. I will definitely be doing this again and encourage you to check it out!"
"Great family fun! Canonical, swimming and hiking a really great state park."
