The FAU Dania Beach Research Center, also known as SeaTech, is located at 101 North Beach Road in Dania Beach, Florida. Situated on eight acres between the Atlantic Ocean and the Intracoastal Waterway, the center has valuable access to the ocean and seawater for research purposes. Established in 1997 as the nation's first ocean engineering program, FAU Dania Beach is a state-funded Type II research center that is part of FAU's Department of Ocean and Mechanical Engineering.
