Florida Atlantic University-SeaTech is an institute located at 101 North Beach Road in Dania Beach, Florida. As part of the Department of Ocean and Mechanical Engineering, SeaTech focuses on advanced engineering research and technology development to solve ocean-related problems. Established in 1997, SeaTech is a State-funded Type II Research Center with a mission to collaborate with academia, industry, and government to advance technology and transition research products to real-world applications. Located on eight acres of land between the Atlantic Ocean and the intracoastal waterway, SeaTech has easy access to the ocean for research purposes. The institute's team of faculty, graduate students, engineers, and technicians work on federally and industry-sponsored projects in areas such as ocean engineering.
