"This was a true get a way. Have a capable vehicle, pack a cooler, bug spray, and enjoy how absolutely quiet it is here. Brought the dogs, but ticks are prevalent, so be aware. There is a short gravel road to the parking area, then it's on foot from there on out. This is a clean preserve. Preserve it."
"Second time cycling on these trails. Previously was August 2022 (definitely hot and northeast trails can be without any shade). A mountain bike is preferable for most of the trails as they are sandy and horse ridden. Saw Red-shouldered Hawk, deer, many Robins and heard a Gray Catbird. I think that the turtle (photo here) is a type of Cooter. Not sure which type. Many horse riders were entering the park as I was leaving. Didn't see anyone in August, only saw one other person this time - beautiful location - but very few facilities (picnic tables and portable toilet near parking) so you need to be self-sufficient (bring water)."
"It's my go to place usually every day after work I'll drive the trailhead to see what's out. Usually have my camera with me because you never know what will be out. Apparently there's a limit on the number of photos you're allowed to upload. I've added many more but separate from this review"
"Beautiful place to hike with plenty of wildlife. Deer, coyote, turkey & hogs. Make sure you take water and map."
"Almost pure nature. Minimal amenities, few visitors, quiet, peaceful trails. Be sure to carry water, trails can be longer than anticipated and especially summer heat will dehydrate quickly. Trail markings can be less than optimal, watch for them carefully."
