Estero Community Park is a beautiful park and tourist attraction located at 9200 Corkscrew Palms Boulevard in Estero, Florida, United States. The park offers a variety of amenities and activities for visitors of all ages to enjoy. The park is open from 6 a.m. to 9 p.m., while the Recreation Center has varying hours throughout the week. One of the highlights of the park is the playground, which is scheduled to close for demolition on March 25, 2024, with a new playground expected to open by May 2024. Additionally, there is a dog park with separate areas for small and large dogs, as well as water stations and a dog wash station.
Estero Recreation Center
Estero Recreation Center, located at 9200 Corkscrew Palms Boulevard in Estero, Florida, is a park and recreation facility managed by Judi Alvarado and Ryan Normoyle. The center offers a variety of amenities, including a playground, dog park, pavilions for rent, and historical tours provided by the Estero Historical Society. The park is open daily from 6 a.m. to 9 p.m., while the recreation center has varying hours throughout the week. Membership to the center is available for a one-time cost of $10 per individual or $25 per family, granting access to all four large Recreation Centers in Lee County. The center also hosts events such as the Spring Yard Sale and offers opportunities for employment, such as the Summer Camp Staff positions. The property, purchased in 1998, has been open to the public since October 30, 2006, and has served as a shelter during emergencies, such as the flood waters of Tropical Storm Fay in 2008. Lee County Parks & Recreation Dog Beach Parking is a popular tourist attraction located at 8800 Estero Boulevard in Fort Myers Beach, Florida. This park allows dogs to run free in a beautiful beach setting, making it a favorite spot for dog owners. The park features a dog rinse off shower station, which is now back in service after being damaged by Hurricane Ian. Visitors are reminded to plan their trip accordingly, as the area is a tidal flat and can only be accessed by wading through water during mid to high tides. Please note that this park does not have restrooms, but there is a portable toilet available for use. Parking is free, and a dog rinse off shower station is provided by a private donor. Visitors are asked to follow the rules of the park, which include no glass containers or alcohol allowed. This is an unsupervised facility, so visitors are responsible for themselves, their dogs, and their behavior.
