"I wish I could give this facility zero stars. I came from out of town and took off 2 days of work in order to attend this appointment. I even called the office a couple of times in the weeks leading up to my appointment to have some questions answered. At no point did the office inform me I needed to come 30 minutes before my appointment to fill out new patient paperwork. The only notice I got was a voicemail at 9:06 this morning (my appointment was at 10:30) informing me to please give them a call back with no mention of arriving early. On top of that they share a plaza with an almost identical women's health facility. After going into the other women's health center and being redirected to the UF center I drove around for about 10 minutes trying to find the building since there is no sign on the outside of their building. I then called to ask for directions because I was lost. The woman informed me that they would not be able to see me and I can call again in January to try to reschedule. Overall unorganized and severely lack good communication with their patients. The woman on the phone also lied and said they had called and left a voicemail yesterday but the last phone record I have for them is when I called the prior week. I even told her I was in front of building 1887 and she said I was in the wrong place but later in the call said that WAS the correct building after having me drive in circles for 25 minutes. I honestly think she wanted me to miss my appointment so it didn't conflict with their schedule. As a WARNING if you come here as a new patient arrive at least an hour early so you don't miss an important potential life saving appointment like I did. Or better yet...go somewhere that actually cares to do their job!"
"I had my son at OPMC in 2017- Dr Nick T. was my OB and he was with Generation to Generation. Unfortunately, I’ve had 5 consecutive miscarriages since he was born- Dr Nick left the practice and I was seen by Dr Hawkins and Dr Rowan. I was considered high risk when I was pregnant with my son in 2017, because 8 years before him I delivered a stillborn. Well, I miscarried in 2018. I was sent for blood work and found out I had a blood clot disorder which causes miscarriage unless you get these certain injections. Dr Rowan told me I could do the injection therapy with next attempt to conceive, but once I got pregnant again, they wouldn’t schedule me right away- wanted me to wait 6 weeks. I told them I needed to be referred immediately to ROC (the high risk specialists that took care of my prenatal care through Gen to Gen when i was pregnant with my son). They told me they’d send a referral over. I called ROC who agreed that I needed to be seen by them ASAP to get my first injection to prevent pregnancy loss, but that in order to do that, I needed the referral from Gen to Gen- they sent over a STAT request to get me scheduled. Gen to Gen still insisted they wouldn’t schedule me til 6 weeks- well, I miscarried 2 days before that appointment. This happened AGAIN 2 more times. I tried one last time, and they stopped taking my insurance. I then called over to North Florida OBGYN- and they refused to take me as a patient BECAUSE I was high risk. I lost that baby too- at 7 weeks. Before I could get into see ANYONE to do my initial prenatal visit and send a simple referral to ROC. I’ve since been counseled at ROC and they told me that if I had only been able to be seen and receive the injection right away, I’d most likely have carried a healthy pregnancy. I definitely DONT recommend going to Generation to Generation. Not only are they incompetent (to the point of causing me to lose my babies due to negligence), but they also have horrible patient care. Before Dr Nick left the practice, they were great. But then again, even though they were my OB office, most of my prenatal care was with ROC with my now 5yr old son. I guess he was just a miracle because I didn’t miscarry him before I could get referral to ROC."
"I have called several times since August 2020 to schedule my annual pap and they are still not doing annuals due to "Covid 19". I've been a patient for 6 years and Dr. Rowan delivered my son. Very disappointed they refuse to see patients unless you're pregnant. Had my annual pap done with my primary care doctor and recieved abnormal results. I called Generation to see if they would see me for a re-pap and they still said no!!!! I work in dentistry and I am way more at RISK than they are working inside peoples MOUTHS."
"I wanted to thank the nursing staff who assisted me that day of the birth of my child at Orange Park Medical Center . For being high-risk patient I felt like I was treated as a regular patient who has no issue even though I had problems. . From doing my own research it was from insufficient cervix. Which I feel was caught early it could've been prevented. For high-risk facility it shouldn't take 2, 3 or 4 miscarriage's to be taken seriously. I monitored my pressure which was always low until that day and watched what I eat. I only got one ultrasound and then one at ROC and each ultrasound they said my baby was healthy. I should of been checked internally but never did. All I got was blood work In the end I go home from the hospital without my baby girl while the doctors go home with paychecks. This would be my second miscarriage now. Only doctor I like was Dr. Rowan"
