Holiday Inn Express & Suites Lake Placid, an IHG Hotel

"Room was so clean and stocked. The double shade one dark one light was great. Nice view of lake. Food for breakfast was a good variety and delious. Staff especially Heather in the kitchen was a delight and friendly I formed of the area. Thank you for a good night sleep and fuel to start my day."

"Cancel 2 days before I was able to get there. They charge me for both full stays. Did not return any money Charge me a thousand dollars I can aunderstand A cancelation fee but this is not right"

"We found shelter from the storm at the Holiday Inn in Lake Placid. We spent 3 days here with a full hotel of guests from the gulf coast who were also complying with mandatory evacuation orders! Cody #1 checked us in and graciously juggled rooms to find us two more nights. Our room was clean with a view of the lake behind the hotel. The lake view was a source of joy and comfort during this stressful time. We enjoyed the complimentary breakfast and the amenities available. I will post pictures of the front lobby with the selection of food for meal preparation. Exploring Lake Placid and the surrounding area was easy from this central location! The management team, breakfast staff, and house keepers were all sweet and supportive despite the influx of guests! Truly comforting! My only regret was that I did not make swimming in the outdoor pool a priority. It looks gorgeous and kept up! Small but big enough to be refreshing and a decent workout! There is also a very nice gym!! Definitely should have spent some time there!! We did enjoy a little bit of research on the fun eating establishments in the area, drove around a couple of the lakes and expired downtown Lake Placid! I will post pictures of some of the hotel!"

"Spent two nights at this hotel and needed. My bedding changed out due to my daughter having an accident. When I came back at 10 PM to go to sleep, my bedding was still not changed (I had stripped the bed in the morning for the housekeeping). I called down to the front desk and she told me she could not make the bed because she was alone and could not leave the front desk. I went down to the front desk to get the sheets from her (at this time the elevator broke) but was given queen sheets, so I had to go down and get the right size sheets from her again. being that they are duvet sheets I did not have the soft insert. At this point, I just asked for a new room so I had to pack everything up and move to another floor (luckily, the elevator suddenly started working ) This all took an hour and a half for us to be able to go to bed. The next morning the manager could only take $60 off our $400 bill. I talked to the GM in the morning to further resolve this issue. She did not offer any more off of my bill. The customer service at this hotel is not great and I do not feel like the issue was handled properly. I will not be returning to this hotel."

"Very clean place to stay. We stay here every few months and the breakfast is always wonderful and our room is always clean. They will also give you as many towels as you want. Recently, they switched to dove shampoo, condition, body wash, soap and lotion and it smells amazing and now I want to switch to Dove products. Highly recommend. Also, Cody #2 should be employee of the year. He's amazing!!!!!!! Nice clean pools well. My kids love it."
