Venice Museum
The Venice Museum & Archives is a local government office and museum located at 351 Nassau Street South in Venice, Florida, United States. The institution is open Monday to Wednesday from 10am to 4pm, as well as the 1st and 3rd Saturday of the month from October to April from 11am to 3pm. The museum's mission is to collect, preserve, and interpret historical and prehistorical material related to the city of Venice and its neighboring communities. One of the museum's exhibits, "Florida Modern: The Sarasota School of Architecture in Venice," showcases buildings in Venice designed by prominent architects such as Victor Lundy, Paul Rudolph, and Ralph Twitchell. Visitors can learn about the architectural features of 1920s Florida Land Boom buildings in downtown Venice on a walking tour with architectural historian Sebastian Liseo.
