"Assisting Hands is a wonderful service--very personal, warm, friendly, and hands on in a world that seems to contain fewer and fewer such companies. They stepped up to full time care on a dime when my mother had a sudden emergency room stay, and then just as easily stepped it back down as she recovered. And truly, it seemed that they were doing more than just providing companionship and care for my mother. They just as understanding and companionable to me, the anxious and harried daughter trying to manage my mother's care, as they were to my mother with her very particular (I might even say crotchety) needs and desires. The caregivers were so lovely--good-humored and fun as well as responsible and responsive--and the administrative staff was, too. When you call, you get a person, or if you have to leave a message, they get back to you right away. Really, I can't say enough good about this company, and if we weren't having to move my mother out of state for a host of family reasons, we would stick with Assisting Hands for her care for the rest of her life."
