"This is a fantastic place to visit. The cars inside are stunning and beautifully presented. The vintage cars on display are full of history and we learned a great deal from the displays and excellent tour guide. The engines outside are stunning and we were lucky enough to see the traction engine running. The train ride was very enjoyable and our visit here was a real highlight of summer break. My 2 boys and I love it here! The staff were so friendly and welcoming, we will for sure come back. I’d happily recommend a visit to this wonderful museum."

"This museum has a fascinating collection of early automobiles from the late 1800s to about 1950. The emphasis is on the brass era of automobiles. However, it includes early electric cars and many versions of steam engines. The best part of the outing was the enthusiasm of Laura, the program director, who gave us a guided tour. A member of Laura's family owns the car collection, and learning about the provenance and technical aspects of the autos in the collection is more than a family hobby; it seems to be a vocation. I visited the Collection on Palmetto with a group of lifelong learners as part of a series of museum visits. Most of our group members are avid county museum-goers; some hadn't heard of this hidden gem, precisely as many members described it. As one participant commented: The Collection on Palmetto staff was amicable, accommodating, and well-informed."
"We absolutely loved visiting the Collection on Palmetto. My son is 3 years old (curly hair in the pictures) had a blast. All of the volunteers are incredibly sweet. Laura and Tim gave me a tour and then Lela and her husband showed us all the working machines outside. The owner was also present and wow what an honor that he allowed us to tour his beautiful collection. My 3 year old loved the train ride, as well. We cannot wait to go back again! 5 stars!! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️"
"Unbelievable great place! Staff is awesome and the facility is so beautiful with a great collection of cars and also working steam engines. They have a great audio tour your can listen on your phone with a couple of minutes of info on each car. The steam engines out front have murals that show how they were used. If you like cars or engines, this is a must see!"
