β OpenUnited States Army for 10 years, including a deployment to Afghanistan. Dr. Hunter has a passion for global health and has volunteered in medical missions in Haiti and Honduras. His special interests include pediatric infectious diseases and global health initiatives. Dr. Hunter's dedication to his patients is evident in every interaction. He takes the time to truly listen and understand each family's unique needs and concerns. Outside of work, Dr. Hunter enjoys spending time with his wife and two children, hiking, and exploring new cultures and cuisines. His commitment to providing compassionate and comprehensive care makes him a valuable member of the Pensacola Pediatrics team. Dr. Maria Jenkins earned her medical degree from the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine and completed her residency at Jackson Memorial Hospital in Miami, FL. She is a board-certified pediatrician and a fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics. Dr. Jenkins has a special interest in adolescent medicine and mental health. Growing up in Miami, Dr. Jenkins developed a passion for helping children and families in underserved communities. She is dedicated to providing quality care to all of her patients, regardless of their background or circumstances. Dr. Jenkins is known for her warm and compassionate bedside manner, making her patients feel comfortable and at ease during their visits. In her free time, she enjoys practicing yoga, cooking, and spending time with her family.
