Gilbert’s Bar House of Refuge is a historic institution located in Stuart, Florida, United States. It is a museum and park that allows visitors to step back in time to the turn of the century. The House of Refuge was built as a haven for shipwrecked sailors and travelers along the sparsely populated Atlantic coastline of Florida. It is the oldest structure in Martin County and the only remaining House of Refuge.
