Established in 1948 by The Kiwanis Club of Sarasota, Pines of Sarasota has grown to become a leading provider in geriatric care, rehabilitation, and education. Our 25-acre campus can accommodate 243 residents and over 400 employees. The Pines of Sarasota Foundation plays a crucial role in supporting our residents, especially those who rely on Medicaid for their care.

"As a nurse in sarasota, i was very nervous for my grandmother to go to a facility I didn’t know anything about but after reading reviews, and talking to some healthcare friends in the community that knew the facility, I decided to try it out. It was the best decision we made. My grandmother was there for several weeks and declined until she passed away ( it was expected with her diagnosis). I was so happy with the kindness and care that was given to not only my grandma, but my family and myself , as well. Everyone was so amazing. Towards the end of her life, I spent long days there …. They even said I was welcome to spend the night and showed up with a “comfort cart” filled with books, snacks, radio and coffee machine. I was so supported in my time of need. I could not have been more supported going through this difficult process of losing my loved one but the staff at The Pines made it so much better. They truly cared. People came to check on my grandma, even if not assigned to her that day, just because they had her at some point while in facility. They went above and beyond for all of us. I would definitely recommend this facility to anyone."
"I give 3 stars because neither me or use their service but I met someone, who is a skilled nurse there and I can say I like the atmosphere and cleanliness. The receptionist was so busy answering the phone I can’t even talk to them to ask questions."
"Horrible experience for my mom post knee replacement. Besides no orders, no pain or any other medications being given. No staff. Agency nurse and aide who refused to get supervisor or call MD. She had to be transferred to the hospital because of unsafe care. They gave no walker and refused to help her to the bathroom. The bathroom in her room did not work and they refused a commode as well. I am a nurse and have Never been talked to so horribly!!!"
