Miami-Dade Reef Guard Association
● OpenMiami-Dade Reef Guard Association, located at 5352 Pine Tree Drive in Miami, Florida, is a dedicated institution focused on organizing, maintaining, and promoting the mooring buoy program in collaboration with divers, boaters, and fishermen. The program is fully funded and managed by the Miami-Dade County Department of Regulatory and Economic Resources. Additionally, Reef Guard supports artificial reef deployment and natural reef conservation in the sea areas adjacent to Miami-Dade County. Established in 2019 by Miami Dade dive shops, the institution aims to bring a signature artificial reef to Miami, attracting divers to explore the area's natural reef and existing artificial reef dive sites. The 42 installed and fully maintained buoys span from the Broward county line to the northern boundary of Biscayne National Park. Detailed information about the buoys and artificial reefs, along with GPS coordinates, can be found on the Miami-Dade website.
