Department of Physiological Sciences
● OpenThe Department of Physiological Sciences, located at 1333 Center Drive in Gainesville, Florida, is part of the College of Veterinary Medicine at the university. Here, students are taught a range of disciplines including anatomy, cell biology, pharmacology, physiology, and toxicology, with a strong emphasis on research for graduate students. The department is led by Associate Professor Leah Reznikov, who also serves on the UF BREATHE Center leadership team. The upcoming Fall 2023 seminar series will feature various speakers discussing topics related to physiological sciences. The department is known for its research strengths in neuroscience/neurophysiology and toxicology/pharmacology. Additionally, it houses UF's Center for Environmental and Human Toxicology, focusing on ecological and human health. The department also publishes a magazine twice a year for alumni and friends of the college. As part of the Institute of Food and Agricultural Sciences and UF Health, the Department of Physiological Sciences is dedicated to advancing animal, human, and environmental health through teaching, research, extension, and patient care.
