"This vacation spot has everything you need to enjoy a relaxing, low key vacation in Longboat Key. We usually stay in one of the beachfront condos. The condos are a modest one bedroom 1 bath apartment overlooking the gulf. We loved waking every morning and retiring every evening enjoying the spectacular views and enjoying the ocean breeze. Amenities such as a grocery and bike rentals are just a few blocks away. The front office staff was courteous and helpful with the extra needs throughout our stay. If you’re looking for no fuss and simplicity and pure relaxation I’d highly recommend!"

"July 2023 The resort consists of 6 buildings. I believe that each room is owned by different individuals, therefore, some rooms are better than others. The tower is equiped with an elevator. In general, the rooms are clean but some of them are very dated and in #72 & #73 we have seen black spots on the ceiling, under the paint (possible mold). Room #402 in the tower was ok, with great view to the beach (was equipped with kitchen and utensils). All the public areas were clean, including the restroom, the pool, the BBQ and activities area. The beach is wonderful, just 1 minute walking, it is quiet, clean, big enough, not crowded. The waterline is shallow especially in the evening during the low tide. The water was warm and clean, usually calm in the morning and wavy in the afternoon. We sighted a manatee and a couple of dolphins. There are free beach chairs available and umbrellas (we had 2 umbrellas in our room and got another one from reception). For shopping, there is a Publix south of the resort, 5 minutes driving and the closest Costco is 30 minutes driving. For coffee I did like Sips and Back Alley Treasures coffee shops. There are a lot of attractions around, I suggest visiting Lido Key Beach where the sand is incredible, to walk and check the shops in the area bound by Madison Dr/Washington Dr/Monroe Dr/Adams Dr (parking is free), then drive to Marina Jack (parking is free) to see Unconditional Surrender, and walk the Marina Jack Trail. Of course, there are a lot of other activities like manatee tours, aquarium and museums. The traffic was not too bad and be extra careful in the roundabouts as people appear to not understand how to use them. The lady at the reception desk was super helpful, I hope the resort is paying her well because she is the reason we stayed and did not take off after seeing the rooms (#72 and #73) and I bet she is the reason this resort gets a good rating."

"I booked condo combo #61-62 for 4 days. Very disappointed. The place smells horrible, very old furniture and nothing pretty about this place. They didn't have anything else available, unfortunately I don't have any other options but to stay and try to make the best of it. The front desk lady said that I was the first one complaining about this place, really? This is not my first time staying at Turtle Crawl Inn, I had different experience with the tower condo. It will be the last time coming here after this horrible experience. Please don't bother to come and spend your money staying in this place. It is not worth it. I am so sad, that I spend so much money for this! Updated: The only option they gave me is to rent a extra condo and pay almost the double amount of money, really? That is actually an option? What about give me something better for the money that I already paid. I went to Publix to buy cleaning supplies. Unacceptable! Karla Perez"

"We stayed in unit - #104. It was mostly clean and roomy with 2 big comfy beds. A private beach, but the sand was hot & rough on the feet. Unit details: Windows & tub were very dirty, missing curtains/blinds on patio door, a bug in the bathroom & a gecko in the bedroom. A quiet getaway. Not alot for dining or entertainment nearby, front desk staff was very rude whenever approached & poor communication via email. Not sure where the on-site pool was located. All in all, it was an ok place to stay at the last minute."

"We loved our week at Long Boat Key! We had a large party, 17 people and 5 rooms at the Turtle Crawl Inn. We stayed in unit 72. Our room needed some major upgrades, but we did not stay in the room much just at night because we were on the beach so much. The rooms in the main building were nice. The pool is tiny. That needs updating or adding another one would help. Wifi was excellent, we had a few people in our party working remotely so that was a big plus! Having Cornhole and shuffle board was nice too. We booked rooms again for next year but we all wanted to be in the main building with beach front views."
