“Just had a lovely brunch this morning. Ordered 2 iced lattes and an avacado toast and breakfast sandwich. Food was amazing, could tell it was all really fresh and great flavours. The girl serving us was friendly and polite and coped really well when a sudden influx of people who came in making it really busy! She was very apologetic for a slightly longer than usual wait time but it was no issue for us as the food was well worth the wait. Can't wait to visit again :)”

“This place is AMAZING! We have visited this place a few weeks ago with the aim to spend an evening with high-quality food in a cozy area and this place has not only fulfilled but exceeded my expectations! The place looks brilliant due to high attention to many interior details which creates a fancy-looking environment. The food quality is incredible. We have ordered pasta and I have to admit that was the best pasta I have encountered. They managed to bring whole Italy to my plate and deliver the pasta of thousand flavours. Finally, the service quality is exceptional. Our waiter TOM did an outstanding job by making suggestions for the menu choices, introducing the history of the restaurant as well as making the evening even more special with an everlasting smile. Overall, a brilliant place for a cozy evening with the highest standard food and service. I would highly recommend it!”

“First visit because dispite being a bit of a coffee geek I just don't go into Derby city centre. First things first, the food is excellent, I had Bears Bennies which was superb, hollandaise sauce can be overpowering and most places go a bit over the top with it; however, Bear got it spot on. My fiancée had a espresso caramel waffle, again it was superb... monumentally sweet but the espresso balanced it perfectly. Now for my primary reason for going, the V60 pour over coffee. Coffee can be big, bitter and aggressive and that's fine; however, it can also be light, acidic, fruity and delicate but requires excellent beans, a perfect grind, excellent brewing equipment, someone who knows what their doing and patience....Bear have this sorted. Brewing good coffee is more like an art that anything else, even if you think you don't like coffee try a pour over with a medium, light or washed bean that's been properly ground and brewed, it'll completely alter your view.”

“Worked alongside annies burger shack on a family fun day staff and management where brilliant. The venue itself is a good size inside with everywhere being clean and tidy. “Excellent venue, book ahead for food, though staff are friendly and will help you out should you turn up out of the blue. Beth and the team offer a welcoming environment. New staff members Harry served me at the bar, helpful knowledgeable and friendly. The menu is traditional pub / homemade meals such as Hunter's chicken, Roast beef, fish and chips and Venison, thought I'd assume this is seasonal. As much as I'd like to try every meal the venue offers, this is my first visit. There is a nice outdoor canalside terrace and upper balcony areas for Alfresco dining, a central hath log fireplace within the main dining area creating a warm comfortable space to relax and enjoy the ambiance. The building is due for a slight refit in the coming months, moving the toilets upstairs and further renovating the kitchen space. Hoping to be back up this way again soon :-) @t2kso”

“I booked Kedleston Country House for my Wedding after I feel in love with the venue and location! Everything was magical from start to finish! The Wedding co-ordinator Sarita took care of everything and made us feel super at ease and reassured we’d be getting the day we wanted! She was also super easy to get hold of and answered our queries promptly! The team on the Wedding day were so fantastic, the level of customer service and friendliness was sensational! Helen and Lee were amazing on the day (and the night before). Diane in housekeeping completely transformed the Bridal Suite after the chaos of using it to get ready in the morning and I was blown away with how lovely it looked come the Wedding Night. Sally was super friendly and chatty the day after the Wedding at breakfast! The food was phenomenal both on the Wedding Day and the breakfast the following morning! The rooms are lovely, we’ll equipped with plenty of amenities and there is no noise pollution. I cannot rate the venue high enough and everyone in the team was so invested in ensuring myself, the Groom and the guests were having the best time!”

“Visited with a large group. We were told that we would have to sit on smaller tables and the food wouldn't be brought out together which wasn't a problem. Lots of choice on the menu and we all enjoyed our food. The staff were nice and friendly and the place had a good atmosphere and lovely views from the upstairs windows.”

“Went for the first time for dinner yesterday. Staff were a little short handed but still did everything so efficiently and with a smile. Our waitress Nicky was fantastic and really helped make our occasion special. The food was also very tasty, especially the burgers, milkshakes and the cheesecakes! We cannot wait to return soon!”

The food was immense, portion sizes were huge, the garlic mushroom starters and steak mains was amazing. “Visited twice in the last month, have been waiting to try this restaurant since it opened but never got round to it…I’m so glad we finally did! A fantastic experience on both occasions. We had a birthday dinner here last night and the service was fantastic. One of our party has some very limiting dietary requirements, most of which eliminate any possibility of eating at an Italian! This was no problem for Segreto, they went above and beyond to produce a fantastic 3 course meal even with so many dietary restrictions! The rest of our food was fantastic as well, there is a huge selection of traditional Italian food with gluten free, vegetarian and vegan options too, alongside a huge and varied range of drinks options. The lady who served us on both evenings went above and beyond to ensure we had a memorable and enjoyable experience, and the food was of the highest quality. Portion sizes are on the bigger side so more than value for money as the prices are incredibly reasonable. The decor is beautiful and all of the seating areas are intimate and private making for a lovely dining experience. I couldn’t recommend highly enough and only wish I had eaten here sooner! We will all definitely be back and want to say a massive thank you to both the chefs and the staff for giving us an experience to remember. Wish more people knew about this fantastic secret! “Great place for a Sunday Carvery! It was really busy so we were very glad we booked. We had to wait in line for a long time but the food was so lovely that I'm not surprised it's so popular. Good price for a carvery (even with the added surcharge on weekends) and great range of options for sides. I'll definitely be going again.”

“3,2,2023 Moved to Sutton Bonington six months ago and have been wondering where to get Chinese food. Wife was at a book launch that ran over so when she dropped her pal off I asked her to stop off on the way back and pick up Chinese as it was too late to cook. There are a couple in Kegworth so she had a drive by and Diamond City were the busier of the two so that was the choice made. Ordered lemon chicken and special fried rice and my wife had sweet and sour king prawn and king prawn chow mien. Lemon chicken is a hard one and sometimes a bit sweet and cloying but this was delicious, lemony and light and the chicken was amazing. The special fried rice was a meal in itself and the best I’ve ever had. Should say that I only managed half of the portions and I’m gutted we are out tomorrow as I would happily eat this again tomorrow but maybe Sunday lunch. Wife’s sweet and sour and chow mien were amazing and again only half eaten as loads of food. We both agreed they were the best dishes we had had in donkeys and are chuffed we have a great Chinese on our doorstep. It’s six stars from us and I can’t recommend enough as quick service and great food! Thank You Diamond City and we will be back soon!”
