The wife and I and our 2 piglets (teenagers)were well fed, Lovely thought that the chef came out and spoke to us, a very pleasant surprise. Even gave the wife and I a free shot. “This was my first ever visit here and I shall definitely be returning. Tea and cake for one was my order of the day. A steaming pot of Earl Grey and a glorious slab of lemon meringue sponge quickly arrived. Holy moly, the cake was absolutely flipping fantastic! Every mouthful was a delight. The staff are very friendly and helpful, too.”

Service was excellent from arriving at the venue through to the restaurant team, all of whom were full of enthusiasm with friendly smiles. Huge drinks menu and extensive food selection. Décor throughout is warm and homely. We booked our table in advance and would recommend you do the same, as on this Saturday afternoon there were no spare tables (empty tables in photos were for a party booking, which arrived just after I took these photos), this pub/restaurant is very popular and has a great reputation in the local area.”

“I’ve been here on 5 different occasions now and every time the foods been absolutely delicious and the staff are always friendly. There’s also lovely views of the marina which you’ll see plenty of boats floating by.”

“My partner and I attended today for a Sunday lunch. Both of us were let’s say delighted with the beef main and the boot platter which is a mix of beef, chicken and pork. All cooked to perfection. Roast potatoes were simply lovely but the toppers were the cauliflower cheese and red cabbage mix which was simply divine. We didn’t do the pudding on this occasion but will do next time. Btw their own Boot IPA was also a great pint. Beautiful location”

“We pop in regular with the dog, lovely and friendly, and we won a meal for 2at the 1year night. I rang to ask if we could use the voucher and sit outside with our dog, we got there last night, a lovely table set for us, outside. The food was just lovely, and the service amazing. “What a fantastic meal we had last night at this absolute gem of a restaurant. The mushroom risotto bon bons and ham hock starters were delicious. I chose lamb for my main and my partner had a T-bone steak. He said it was the best steak he's had! My lamb was divine. We couldn't fault a thing with either the food or the service from the most lovely welcoming staff. Can't wait to go back!”

“Such a gorgeous restaurant inside and in the court yard too with a lovely atmosphere and friendly staff. They catered for gluten free and were very clued up, I let them know what time I was arriving for lunch and they warmed a separate oven and fryer up so I wouldn't need to wait longer for my meal, which was lovely too.”
