The University of Delaware Webb Farm, located at 137 Webb Ln in Newark, Delaware, is a university institution dedicated to providing hands-on experience with farm animals to over 1,000 students and guests annually. Home to a registered Angus cattle herd, flock of Dorset sheep, and equine herd, the farm offers facilities such as the Animal Management Teaching Facility, Animal Science Teaching Pavilion, Webb Equine Center, and Webb Cattle Barn. From freshmen introductory classes to senior capstone courses, students have the opportunity to work closely with the animals and learn about animal and plant science. The farm also hosts educational programs for the public on current topics in agriculture. The Newark Farm Livestock Unit houses six horses for teaching undergraduate equine science courses, including Arabians, Quarter Horses, Standardbreds, and Thoroughbreds.
