“Excellent Japanese food in the heart of Darwin. I went in for lunch 2 times at Oishi-ya. Had the Tokyo Ramen. YUMMY. The chashu roast pork was so tender, melted in my mouth. Had the deluxe Bento box with teriyaki beef. DELICIOUS. One of the best Bento I have ever had! Everything was delicious. 2 spring rolls, 2 takoyaki, salad, agedashi Tofu, rice, miso soup and the teriyaki beef was excellent! Will go back and try their sushi from the sushi train next time.”

While the first time I ordered I had a similar experience as the first reviewer (couldn’t find any way to contact the restaurant, and the food took a long time to come, so I also drove to the wrong/old place before I found the new one, but it was hard to even find an address) BUT, their food is fantastic. As for the food, I can't say enough good things about it! The lemon ice tea was refreshing and had just the right balance of sweetness and tartness. The bibimbap was a beautiful medley of fresh vegetables and perfectly cooked rice, while the miso ramen was hearty and flavorful. And the pork katsu was crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside, just as it should be! They have a homemade kind of fish cake entree with wasabi mayo you must try! Overall, I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for delicious Japanese/Korean fusion cuisine and top-notch service. I will definitely be back!!!”

She knew the menu like the back of her hand and she could recommend the most amazing dishes.
