Fine art in Windham, Connecticut

The Fine Arts Instructional Center (FAIC) at 306 High Street in Windham, Connecticut offers a variety of spaces for the Performing Arts Department and the Art and Art History Department. Equipped with standard smart classrooms, the FAIC provides the ability to project PC, Laptop, Document Camera, and Blu-Ray DVD. Each room is set up with specific amenities tailored to the needs of the department it serves. From sculpture and ceramic studios to piano labs and dance studios, the FAIC provides a creative and innovative learning environment for students. Accredited by the New England Commission of Higher Education, Eastern Connecticut State University aims to engage students in a transformative, liberal arts learning experience that prepares them for enriching and purposeful lives.

The Art Gallery at Eastern Connecticut State University, located at 83 Windham Street in Windham, Connecticut, offers a diverse and inclusive array of exhibitions featuring the works of international, national, and regional artists, as well as those of students and faculty. In addition to showcasing art, the gallery hosts lectures, presentations, and interviews that explore a wide range of topics and issues. The gallery is open to all and free of charge, thanks to generous donations. Currently, the National Collage Society's Annual Jury Small Collage Exhibition is on display until April 12, 2024. The gallery also presents the 43rd Annual Show of artwork from Connecticut's prisons and an exhibition inspired by the novel "Interior Chinatown" by Charles Yu. Gallery hours are Monday, Wednesday, and Friday from noon to 4 PM, Tuesday and Thursday from noon to 7 PM, and Saturday from 11 AM to 4 PM. Additional hours are available by appointment.
