Mert Ozan Bahtiyar, MD is a renowned doctor specializing in diagnosing and treating complex abnormalities in babies before they are born. Located at 1 Long Wharf Drive in New Haven, Connecticut, Dr. Bahtiyar serves as the director of the Yale Medicine Fetal Care Center and delivers babies at Yale New Haven Hospital. His research interests include ultrasound, fetal echocardiography, and invasive fetal therapy, such as in utero surgery. Dr. Bahtiyar and his team were the first in the state to perform in utero laser therapy for pregnancies complicated by twin-to-twin transfusion syndrome. In addition to his clinical work, Dr. Bahtiyar is a professor of obstetrics, gynecology & reproductive sciences at Yale School of Medicine.
