The Ellie Caulkins Opera House at Denver Performing Arts Complex is a premier venue located at 1385 Curtis Street in Denver, Colorado. Known simply as "the Ellie," this historic opera house has a rich history dating back to its opening in 1908. Renovated multiple times, the Ellie was transformed into a lyric opera house in the early 2000s, thanks to generous donations and support from the community. The Ellie Caulkins Opera House is a world-class acoustical hall designed in the lyric style, featuring four levels including balcony, loge, mezzanine, and orchestra. With state-of-the-art technical support and excellent acoustics, the Ellie offers clean sightlines and seatback titling at every seat, making it one of only three opera houses in the United States with this feature.
