“My daughter is in preschool 1 and is loving it! We've been going to TLE Lafayette for almost two years and there is such a great community. She has made so many friends that she can't stop talking about. The teachers really care about the kids and you can tell. We recently went to the pediatrician and he was amazed at the knowledge my 3 year old already has. Thank you TLE Lafayette!”

    Primrose School of Lafayette

    ★★★★☆ 4.2

“Primrose in Lafayette is a great daycare + preschool and I highly recommend it. A bit about us: we have 2 kids, one is 11 months and one just turned 4. Both have been in Primrose since April 2021. All of the teachers in both of my kids' classrooms are excellent. I feel everyone is very loving towards the children, that they are safe, and taking good care of them. This extends to education which I think the teachers do a very good job with as well. Of the three daycares I have been to Primrose in Lafayette is the best managed. Julie and Erica are very on top of everything. When my oldest was adjusting to the new school they took extra time to make her comfortable. When the kids were sick they took really good care of them while I was en route to pick them up. They are extremely responsive to questions and easy to talk to. Both of my kids seem to really love school. My oldest can tell me all about her day and all of the activities she does. Although my youngest can’t talk yet he is happy every day there. The facilities are clean and well organized. The app they use to send updates to the parents is really easy to use and the teachers are really great about providing updates. Their COVID protocols have been really well designed and enforced. The school has not had any outbreaks. All of the classrooms have exterior doors so there is no need to go inside for pickup and drop off.”

“At the time of writing this review, I've been training with Drew for 6 months. I could not have asked for a better group of assassins to learn, roll, and grow with. I have formed close friendships with several of my teammates, and I chalk that up to the amazing culture and welcoming atmosphere Drew has fostered in his gym. But its not just Drew. Every single member of the gym is invested in each other's improvement. The purble and blue belts (many of whom are active competitors) are extremely friendly and helpful, creating an excellent atmosphere for a newcomer to no gi brazilian jiu jitsu. If you are thinking of signing up: seriously, just do what I did and set up a free class. I've lost 25 pounds, gained several friends, and learned a lot about myself in the process. I cannot recommend this gym highly enough!”

“This Spring will mark two years since my daughter graduated and moved forward, after her months of healing at The Rose House. I can say with absolute certainty that she would not be who she is, or where she is, today without having had the time she had there. This was the beginning of her having the ability to build a real foundation of her own, to establish daily habits and gain tools which she still uses all the time. The counseling she received was excellent, and she still still speaks of her Rose House therapist with such gratitude and fondness. The therapy she received there was the best therapy she has ever had, and I'm not exaggerating when I say it changed her life. Thoughout our Rose House time, Allison's willingness to correspond and communicate with me was invaluable and so appreciated. She is so kind and compassionate. It's palpably clear how invested she is in her role, and how deeply and heartfully she cares for the women who come to The Rose House. Despite her fair share of adversity, my daughter is doing well in her life. She is anchored and clear and has gained real wisdom. We were not sure at first how we could afford The Rose House. But, it is clear that it was worth every penny in the end. It has made all the difference in my daughter's life and in who she is today. What The Rose House gave her, she carries, and it is such a big part of why she is able to find her way to her center and to strength now. Thank you.”

“This is a quality school. The whole Roni things was blown way out of proportion. It wasnt a reminder for the low income kids, just a way of notifying there parents that they needed more money in their accounts. No bullying took place over it. No harassment was caused. And Roni only looks like a martyr because the school wont share what actually happened.”

“This is a second location which actually shares space with the New Church of Boulder Valley, but are NOT affiliated with the church. Our daughter is currently attending Pre-K at this location and we could not be happier. She attended preschool at another school from January-May and it was a complete disaster. The entire staff at this location and the owner/headmistress, Amy, have been simply amazing. I just can not say enough great things about them. For example, we went to pick our daughter up the other day and they were playing outside. My daughter was a little sad to leave and wanted to keep eating the pears off of the tree in the play area. Recognizing this, one of the teachers (unprompted) suggested that they have a picnic lunch the next day when she returned. My daughter was so excited, that it changed her entire demeanor and gave her something to look forward to. They actually followed through with it the next day. It is that type of mindfulness (and many other examples) that gives us peace of mind and reinforces that we made the right decision. The preschool and pre k rooms are set up in a very fun and open manner. There are many stations from the children to choose from, including sensory tables, dress up, blocks, train tracks, etc. They have a great system in pre-k where they have each of the children's pictures on a card. Each station has a limited number of children allowed at any given time. So if, say the block station has four children already (four cards with their pictures on them on the list of activities on the wall) then the child understands that they must choose a different activity until a space opens up. It really gives the children ownership of their activities. Every day that we have picked our daughter up she has said she loves it. (Although she is typically exhausted by the time she leaves) They do allow children to take naps if they need it, and will respect your wishes if you choose not to have them nap. We leave it up to how our daughter is feeling since she does not typically take a nap at home. Although she has already taken a couple naps at school already. They really encourage crafting and artistic time. Today when I picked my daughter up I found out they were learning about how different marker's ink diffuses in water. (Very cool) They are not overly strict or structured to the point our daughter has a hard time transitioning from activity to activity. Although they do have a schedule that they use throughout the day to ensure the children are learning and busy throughout the day. In her last school, my daughter was on such a rigid schedule that she would melt down because she couldn't handle it. If your child is having a hard time, they have a quiet space within the room for them to get away for a bit and calm themselves down. Anyway, this school and all of the teachers we have met have been simply amazing. You will not regret having your child attend Wildflower.”

“Our boys have attended MSH for over a year now. We love our teachers, who seem to be genuinely engaged with the children. The food is excellent and nutritious (school is the only place my boys will eat things like lentils and tofu!) and not having to pack lunches for the kids every day is an absolute life saver. The tuition is very reasonable, given the standard of care, all meals provided and convenient location / hours. My kids are definitely picking up Spanish- saying words, phrases and even singing entire songs. Things have naturally become a bit more difficult during the pandemic, but the school is taking all reasonable measures to keep everyone safe and for that we are very grateful. Looking forward to many more happy years at this facility!”

“We LOVE, LOVE, LOVE My Second Home. Both our boys have attended, one moved on to kindergarten last year, the second on is currently enrolled. Education is excellent and all the teachers are incredibly loving. They do the usual preschool academics and art projects. But also do cooking, gardening, yoga, dance, with extra activities during the summer. It's been a wonderful environment for our kids.”

    Forest Park Montessori

“We have both our children at Forest Park- Maddie age 5 and Henry age 4. I didn't know a thing about Montessori education and the things my kids have learned have blown me away. They are confident, interested in learning, and have learned great behavior. On top of that my oldest is reading chapter books at age 5! You put it in front of her and she reads it, gets most of it (depending on the subject) and loves it. And all the kids her age at FPMS are on that track, simply blew me away. One night they explained math to me and then showed me how to do addition and subtraction, I fell out of my chair! They also had great hours for my family and a very fair cost compared to the other schools we considered. The teachers are great, especially Adena! Simply love it.”

    Autana Montessori Bilingual School

    ★★★★☆ 4.6
    Closed

“Loving Montessori Environment I am fairly new to Autana, but wanted to recommend them personally. If my review ends up changing, I will certainly update- because I like to give a fair and honest impression. My son was at a daycare center in Longmont from 6 months of age, to almost 2.5. It was a long commute, but we found a place that was like family and felt it was worth it. Two years of a 30 minute drive finally got to us, so we made the switch to Autana. I was really nervous about this switch, because it felt like I was moving our son away from family and I wasn't sure how he would do in a Montessori environment. It took a few days to adjust, but I can say my son is thriving there. He gets excited to go, and when I pick him up he is excited to tell me about his day. The owners are warm and welcoming and have been really responsive to my "helicopter" parenting and have made me feel like it's okay! His teachers are loving and kind, and have created a warm learning environment for him. He learned so much from his first school and his communication skills/counting/alphabet are already impressive, so I didn't expect a huge developmental leap when he started at Autana. Boy was I wrong! He comes home singing and speaking in Spanish, he has become so independent in play and practical life skills, and he wants to be apart of everything I am doing in the home (cooking, cleaning, laundry). With all of these new skills, he is happier. It's like he is beaming with love and light because he can do so many things on his own now. He's proud! I know there have been some complaints from former parents, and possibly there was a learning curve as they grew. It seems like they have addressed most of the concerns in the community (none have been about safety FYI). They now have an application where you receive photos and updates on each kid and the teachers and school both send out newsletters. I feel like I always know what's going on in his classroom. They also have the parents bring home water bottles daily to clean and sheets and bedding weekly- realizing that their staff time isn't spent well on that. I also understand their contracts are to protect their faculty and staff, and ensure a paycheck for them. Many private schools have this policy and I feel like it is a great sign that they care about their teachers. I also work for a private school that has the same policy, it's becoming the norm. If you are curious about Autana, I suggest taking a tour. It's one of the warmest Montessori schools I have personally seen. The kids are happy and loved and challenged. I am happy to talk to anyone if you have questions!”

    Adventure Montessori

    ★★★★☆ 4.6
    Open

“Adventure Montessori Learning (AML) had been a home to me for the past year and I have enjoyed my time building the relationships I have with the families, students and staff. I felt like I was and still am part of a community versus just clocking in day in and day out. Being with this school has made me learn more about Dr. Maria Montessori and her wonderful approach. My educational background is in clinical social work and education, and I’ve been fascinated and interested in therapeutic modalities that promoted a person-centered perspective and have employed child-centered therapies in my professional training. With AML I see much of this carried out as I see classrooms built around enhancing the child’s development and natural curiosity and desire to learn and acquire knowledge. I’ve rarely seen classrooms so pleasing to the eye in my experiences in early education. Often when I spend time with the children they are excited to show me the latest lesson they have mastered or are working on and I find myself learning from them as they go through their work cycles. I grew up in public education and as much as I felt I made the most of my experiences and excelled, I notice how different the children at AML approach their learning. They take control of their education with initial guidance and monitoring of their progress by their teachers or guides. I am amazed when the children as young as 4 and 5 start understanding the concepts of multiplication; taking care of their bodies and selves; begin learning how to problem solve; and engage in conflict resolution. For instance, I once saw three children arguing and resorting to name-calling when one of the students stopped and began actually using an “I-statement” to express how they were feeling about what was said. They then apologized to each other and decided it is better to play and be nice to each other. I have seen many of the children progress over the year and still am pleased and amazed at what these young minds absorb and how much the teachers care about the student’s healthy development. I know I am biased as I worked with the school but they did so much for me and I still cultivate the relationships I made during my time. My time with Adventure Montessori Learning has definitely made me decide when I have a child I would love for them to be in their program. Autumn Yamamoto, LSW, MEd”
