Turtle Lake Refuge
Turtle Lake Refuge is a sustainable food institution located in Durango, Colorado, United States. We promote sustainable practices by honoring the wisdom of nature and the health of the community. Our Turtle Cafe, open for lunch every Tuesday and Friday, serves local, wild, and living food grown, harvested, and prepared on our four-acre farm near Turtle Lake. We also educate about the value of wild edible and medicinal plants in our area, provide local microgreens and wild food products to schools, restaurants, and stores, and practice organic land stewardship through our Bee Happy Lands project. Our greenhouse cafe at 848 East 3rd Ave. offers a unique dining experience surrounded by fresh oxygen from our microgreens. We also offer lunch delivery services. We are grateful for the generous support of our community and welcome inquiries about speaking events, classes, and wild food walkabouts with founder Katrina Blair. Contact us at turtlelakerefuge@yahoo.com for more information.
