Penrose Heritage Museum
β ClosedLocated at 11 Lake Circle in Colorado Springs, Colorado, the Penrose Heritage Museum is a must-visit cultural institution and tourist attraction. This museum showcases the legacy of Spencer and Julie Penrose, co-founders of El Pomar Foundation, as well as the rich history of the Pikes Peak region. Visitors to the museum can explore a collection of 30 carriages owned and used by the Penroses, as well as an exhibit featuring the official race car and memorabilia collection of the Pikes Peak International Hill Climb, which Spencer started in 1916. The museum offers three unique galleries that capture the eclectic regional history, including the Carriage Gallery, Pikes Peak Hill Climb Experience, and Heritage Gallery.
