K-Guard Gutters Rocky Mountains

"Honestly, I can’t give this more than 2 star. Jackson was great on the front end up until we signed the contract. From that point, we hear nothing for a few weeks until Jackson left a message saying that if we weren’t going to make a decision that he would have to drop the quote…I called back and left a message saying it wasn’t a quote but a contract to do the work and to call me back. A day or 2 later I get a call from a woman saying they were having trouble getting materials. Another week or so later they scheduled giving a “window” when they would arrive (this is an investment house and we don’t live there. On the day of install, after I waited well past the time they were to arrive, my wife got a call asking how the job looked (I now believe they were looking for payment) and she told them the crew hadn’t shown up. Shortly after, I get a call saying they are running late. When they were installing, they didn’t have a saw to cut the hole in the deck to do the downspouts so I lent them one. They disappeared a bit later and left the downspouts not connected to the drains, left old gutter laying in the driveway and large screws laying around. I left another message for Jackson and again, he doesn’t call back so I have my wife call the office and tell them the issues, they call back and say they didn’t have parts but would be back. We had weather coming in and the way the downspouts were left would put water into our basement so I insisted they get it done ASAP. they came back the next day and installed black transitions on beige downspouts going into white pipe. They didn’t install any cleanouts that were on the contract and didn’t follow up at all. My wife called and sent the pictures of the transitions only to have the girl tell her they didn’t make them any other color. While she was on the phone my wife got on the internet and found white ones. They finally got the parts in, installed the white transitions but no clean outs. We left town and got a call from Pat to my wife’s phone (who had been communicating with her all along) saying we needed to settle up on the bill. My wife explained that we gave a credit card at the time of contract but asked if they could take the cleanouts that were never installed off. Pat said she would look into it then called my phone a few days later looking for payment. At this point, I unloaded on her telling her my issues saying that she was working with my wife, my wife would be happy to pay it but needed talk about what was not done. Never one return call from Jackson for my calls directly to him. Felt like they didn’t give a crap about the issues. There are a lower priced options with similar product. We were hoping for the service to be better and didn’t mind the price because of that. In the end it seems they simply take an order and farm it out to a contract crew (who didn’t speak English). Not a great experience…I gave two stars because of the initial sale and the fact that it looks fine but I’m sure any gutter company could do as well or better"

"I was having trouble with my gutters and roof so I gave K Guard a call and I'm glad I did. They identified what was wrong and worked directly with my insurance company on all the details so I wouldn’t have to worry about playing middle man between the two companies. They scheduled the work quickly, explained the process along the way, and got everything repaired in short order. I’ll use K Guard next time I’m in need and would recommend the same for my neighbors!"

"These are amazing people to work with. They were kind every time I had to delay the installation (siding took longer than expected) and we had a death we were working around as well. The gutters are amazing and I'm so glad my husband doesn't have to climb up on the roof anymore. Our neighbor got the gutters years ago and loved them so we contact the company for an estimate. From the person that came out to the men that did the work, everyone was professional, kind, and hard working. I would recommend this company to everyone."

"Update 01-27-2023 The heating elements work!!! We've had a few weeks to observe how the heating elements are doing and they work great! The crew installed them and were very professional. We no longer have issues with icicles or the icy patch by the walkway. Many thanks Jackson to you and your team! Jennifer Update: Jackson called and we discussed the ice dam issues. We are going to try the heating element which will hopefully resolve the issue. Thank you for responding so quickly Jackson! Jennifer We had K Guard gutters installed which were very expensive, and have been having ice dams building up. It's causing a dangerous slippery area near the front door. It consistently happens and several neighbours were concerned about our safety, especially as they don't have the ice dam issues with their regular gutters. According to the articles that K-Guard publishes... "How to Deal with and Prevent Ice Dams"--Installing a K-Guard Gutter System will help prevent ice dams from forming on your roof. Our gutter systems can withstand all winter weather conditions, including snow and ice storms and will help prevent ice buildup on roofs...." Ours is not doing that and we have had several people slip and fall, including ourselves. It happened last year as well, but I was busy caring for my terminally ill spouse and unable to spend time dealing with the gutter issues as well. I'm very disappointed that we spent so much money as seniors on a fixed income for gutters that don't work. Jennifer"
