"I have been in the Isabella Apartments for around seven years. Last week, I had an issue with my dishwasher, and they were able to replace it within the next day. "Please read before signing your lease: My Fiancé moved into Isabella around April of last year. We were originally thrilled as the rent was reasonable and their townhomes had everything on our want list. However, the show unit is incredibly misleading compared to their actual units that they offer. Make sure you see your unit before you sign any paperwork. Since day one, our stay here has been a blunder after blunder from a complacent management team. On our day of move in, we were told our apartment unit wasn't ready yet due to a water leak. We understand that things happen, so we unloaded everything in the garage and waited for the work to be done. After expressing some frustration with an employee from the front desk she reported "I probably shouldn't be telling you this, but your apartment belonged to a previous employee who became upset and sabotaged the apartment." Great. We received the report that we could go ahead and move in, and when we did our apartment looked horrendous. Laundry was unusable, we had a hole in our ceiling for weeks (which had to be open and closed 2 more times), our bathroom looked terrible, exposed wiring, and we were missing literal drawers in our kitchen for a month and a half (Pictures attached). We had to get the property manager to physically come to the apartment to look at the issues and even then it took weeks for repairs to be done. We have had issues on and off around problems with our apartment, and we are only able to get things done after we seemingly annoy the property manager enough for anything to get done. When you call, they rarely answer, and when you email them they rarely respond. Get used to walking to the front office, because you will be doing it a lot. One program that worked was our trash and recycling program. However, the company did away with this and elected to do a bare minimum valet service that only services 5 days per week with one (maybe 2 if your lucky) bags per pickup. This service would maybe work if it was spread out, but unfortunately their last pickup is on Thursday night and their next pickup isn't until Sunday night. In otherwards, you will have a mountain of trash for a couple of days (see attached). Especially since they no longer accept recycling so our trash has effectively doubled now. With the winter months upon us, we have found that every single window leaks freezing cold air, and the only way to compensate is to crank your heat and pay extravagant utility bills. My fiancé and I work in healthcare administration, which means we do not get snow days. I sent multiple emails requesting information on the snow removal service which nobody responded to. When my fiancé went to the front desk to pick up some packages (because the package room has a severe theft problem) the attendant didn't have much information other than a services is provided for more than 2 inches. When we showed pictures of the side walks, the attendant offered that my fiancé could take ice melt from the office and sprinkle it on the sidewalk, which is ridiculous. Historically, maintenance requests would not be answered timely. There was a rumor that requests were just being cancelled in the portal (which I am inclined to believe). When staff would respond to them it would take weeks. Lately, however, it did appear that one of our requests were dealt with the same day we put it in, which is greatly appreciated, but its a major gamble if anyone will respond at all. Regardless, you will get no notification that the services have been completed, so you have to look for the evidence of tools being left behind or trying your appliances to see if they're working each day. We attempted to get out of our lease but we were quickly shot down. You can look at my profile, I pretty much never leave google reviews because I try to give company's a chance and attempt to meet them at the table. We have been let down. Update: the trash company has missed two days this week. We now have 5 days worth of trash that has piled up."
"I have been residing at The Isabella apartment complex for some time now, and my experience has been quite disappointing, particularly regarding their handling of a persistent issue. My garage has been plagued by drywall dust for a whole year due to a flood, and despite multiple complaints and requests, I have yet to receive any communication from the corporate office regarding the resolution of this matter. The initial flood that led to the drywall dust problem was certainly not within my control. However, what has been entirely within the apartment complex's control is their response and ability to rectify the situation. Unfortunately, this has been a source of immense frustration and disappointment. The drywall dust issue in my garage is not only unsightly but also poses potential health risks. Breathing in this dust can be harmful, especially for individuals with respiratory issues. I have repeatedly contacted the management about this problem and requested that they move my belongings outside of the garage temporarily to facilitate a thorough cleaning. However, my requests have fallen, and I have received no communication from corporate management addressing the issue. It is disheartening that the lack of response or action from corporate management has left me feeling neglected and unimportant as a resident. I believe that it's the responsibility of the apartment complex to ensure the safety and well-being of its tenants and to promptly address issues that are within their control. Despite the fact that The Isabella may have positive aspects, such as its location or amenities, the ongoing negligence in addressing this issue significantly tarnishes my overall perception of the complex. In conclusion, my experience at The Isabella apartment complex has been marred by the lack of responsiveness and accountability when it comes to addressing a critical issue in my garage. It's disheartening to have to resort to this review to express my frustration and disappointment. I implore the management to take immediate action to rectify this situation and demonstrate a genuine commitment to the well-being and satisfaction of their residents. Pictures show how my garage has been left for a year now they clearly do not care about the well being of their residents. I would not recommend anyone renting here unless you want your things ruined by broken pipes."
"These pictures are how Isabella management have left our unit looking for the last 4 weeks without communicating any plan on coming back and fixing it. We were supposed to have guests over last week, but had to cancel out of embarrassment, because of the way Isabella has neglected our unit. We've had serious roof leaking problems since we moved in and have complained about it nonstop and have multiple recorded maintenance requests over the past year. In Colorado, a landlord not providing proper roof waterproofing violates the Warranty of Habitability. Each time our ceiling has collapsed, they just come over and slap new dry wall over it and do nothing to the roof. We told them each time that it only happens when it rains, or snow is melting on the roof, and that it is a roof problem, not a pipe or drywall. They finally came out 4 weeks ago, cut holes in everything and were convinced it was a pipe leak from our bath, but then finally saw the leak from the roof, like we always told them. They said they would have roofers out to fix it the next day of good weather and then patch our place back up. Well it's been 4 weeks, at least 2/3 of that time have been clear days, so not sure what their problem is (or why they haven't fixed it in the last year of us complaining). We will be hiring our own repair team (for the roof and holes cut out) and then withholding the costs from our rent to Isabella hereinafter."
