"Some of the most remote trails you can access as part of the Sonoma County Regional Parks system. If you're not an intermediate hiker, most of these trails will be pretty difficult. For Sonoma County, the elevation gain is substantial. If you're looking for trails to train for a race, these steep trails might be a good spot for you! Plenty of wildlife, dog friendly, and decent views of the valley. The trails are fairly well maintained, and there's plenty of fire roads throughout the park."

"The parking area is tucked away in the back. You go down a long narrow road which turns into a one lane at times (be careful around the curves). There is a self service pay machine for the parking lot. Maps are provided at the parking lot as well. I hiked to the summit and gunsight rock with my 4 year old daughter and it took us 2 hours 30 minutes to get there. It's mostly uphill to the summit, then if you want to head to gunsight rock, which has great views of Sonoma county, it will take you down hill a little ways to reach it. Just follow the guide posts and you'll make it to the top."
