"Disappointed. Called to ask some questions for bouldering. To make sure I received the correct information, I checked with the staff again. Unfortunately, I heard the staff member mutter “Give me a break” in the background. Was really uncomfortable to hear that. Attached is a video as evidence to make sure I have been here before."

"Great gym. I took a lead test, which went by reasonably fast, but still cost me around 40 minutes all in all. It's free, however, and you don't have to schedule it or anything. Great for a visiting climber like me. The really high walls (requiring a 45m rope) will get you pumped. Nice route-setting and quite a lot of routes, most for toproping, but you can lead most of these as well. Quite extensive bouldering area as well. I'll be back here, even if I am just flying through LAX, as it is super close."

"Love this gym and have been coming for years. Whether you’re looking for a quick workout sesh in the gym or full on climbing on one of the many walls, this gym has it all including a well appreciated sauna. The staff are also very nice and always helpful. I also very much enjoy all the yoga classes included in the membership. Of all the many positives this gym has to offer there’s only one complaint and that’s cleanliness. The bathrooms appear to rarely get deep cleans including the sauna. The gym area is also lacking in the clean department but overall the climbing areas are acceptable. With this one improvement I believe the overall quality of the gym would greatly be improved."

"What an adventure at Sender One LAX! As a first-timer, I didn’t quite know what to expect, but let me tell you, it was an absolute blast. First off, the vibe is just right – welcoming, energy-buzzing, yet not too overwhelming. It’s the perfect spot for both beginners and seasoned climbers. My son, Xander, had been here once before, but this was my debut. And, despite being a bit of a climbing newbie, I felt right at home. We were in Sender City, the kids’ side of the place. The routes are diverse and well-set, offering a mix of challenges that kept us engaged (and yeah, a bit sweaty). Speaking of challenges, I’m bracing myself to feel those climbs tomorrow – hello, muscle soreness! But hey, that’s part of the fun, right? The highlight of our day, though, was meeting another family in the climbing community. Luna and her mom, Lauren, were not just fellow climbers; Luna, like Xander, also has Type 1. They were both there to celebrate their birthdays! We always love seeing a fellow T1D in the wild. First time we’ve met one with the same birthday as Xandy though. It’s moments like these that make places like Sender One more than just a climbing gym – it’s a spot where connections are made. If you’re thinking of trying out rock climbing, or if you’re a seasoned climber looking for a great community, this is the place to be. Who knows, you might just bump into some amazing people or find a new passion. We’ll definitely be back – with each visit, Xander and I are determined to climb a little bit higher!"

"Large climbing gym with boulder walls and lead climbing. Came here on a Saturday afternoon and bouldered. The bathrooms are spacious and there are showers. The gym has a fair amount of equipment. Parking is available around the building (one way street) but if it’s full, there’s plenty of street parking as well. There’s a good mix of beginner as well as harder routes, but I felt that even the V0s and V1s were a bit spicy. You need to sign a waiver online beforehand. There are Groupons available for climbing classes which include a gym pass."
