With 3 private group cabin camping areas, well-equipped kitchens, dining halls, and amenities, the Woodlands offers a unique camping experience. Built in the 1930s as part of President Roosevelt's New Deal Projects, the Woodlands is one of only 46 Recreation Demonstration Areas in the US, and the only one in California and a Redwood forest.
