The Lake Recreation Area on the property features a 5-acre lake with catch-and-release fishing, walking paths, picnic areas, playground, canoes and kayaks, horseshoe pits, volleyball court, pavilion, and charcoal grill. Equipment such as bicycles, coolers, golf clubs, lanterns, sleeping bags, tents, and stoves can be rented from the gym. The RV sites have electric, cable, and water hookups, as well as WiFi. The USCG TRACEN Aquatic Center is located at 599 Tomales Road in Petaluma, California. The facility features a 6-lane, 25 yard lap swimming pool that is 2.5 to 5 feet deep. It is housed under a tent and enclosed within a 7-foot fence for safety. The Aquatic Center is open for lap swim for TRACEN Personnel and Dependents on weekdays from 1600-1800, and for open swim for all MWR patrons on weekends from 1100-1600. To access the facility, patrons must show proof of purchase at the pool window. Swim passes can be purchased online before arriving at the Aquatic Center, and a QR code is available onsite for mobile device purchases.
