Moonlight State Beach, located on Encinitas Boulevard in Encinitas, California, is a popular park and tourist attraction operated by the City of Encinitas. This wide, sandy beach offers opportunities for swimming, surfing, and fishing, as well as facilities such as volleyball and tennis courts, recreational equipment rentals, and a snack bar. The beach gets its name from the midnight picnics that local residents used to enjoy in the early 1900s. Visitors can enjoy the beautiful scenery and activities from dawn to sunset.
