Welcome to the Leland R. Weaver Library, a cornerstone of learning and community engagement located at 4035 Tweedy Boulevard, South Gate, California. Since its official opening in 1973, this library has been named in honor of former South Gate councilman Leland R. Weaver and continues to serve as a vital resource for residents of all ages. Our library is part of the Los Angeles County Library system, which has been supporting the South Gate community since the city's early days. From its humble beginnings in a City Hall back room to the modern facility you see today, the library has evolved to meet the educational and recreational needs of its patrons.
