"I went there a few years ago with my mother and had a very unpleasant experience. I discussed with employees the volunteer opportunities they offered and the owner came out to explain further. When he came out he began to look me up and down and made me extremely uncomfortable. My mother caught on to this and we left immediately afterwards."
"Usually a very nice place! However today when we went in we asked if something was on sale because the signage was confusing and the man and woman at the front started to make jokes about us not being able to afford it? It was shocking to accept that it was even happening (and that they weren’t even really joking at all) because usually they are so nice but there two were ruthless. And they didn’t stop? They just kept making one joke after another the entire time we were there. Sad to say we just won’t be back again. We just don’t feel welcome there. I know it’s all volunteers who work there but maybe just a little bit of training might help? It was incredibly off putting and the kind workers USED to be a big part of why we went there. Too bad."
"Good prices, everything is clean and SO nicely displayed. One of our favorite thrift stores. We love our new coffee table."
"BEWARE OF BAIT AND SWITCH! About a week ago I stumbled across this store for the first time. There was a big sign on the window "Furniture 50% off" so I went in and looked around. A pleasantly mannered lady told me that in fact all furniture was half off. I liked a couple of end tables, but at the moment I had to run, so I returned a couple of Days later. This time there was another woman (shorter than the first one) and an older man tending the store. I walked in to look at the end table I liked, I removed all the stuff that was on it and was examining it when the older man approached me. I told him: I am making sure it is whole, to what he replied with a smirk "Oh, it doesn't have any holes" I said: "I am making sure it's whole, meaning it's not broken" he corrected me again, telling me my grammar was wrong. Like I don't know how to speak English.... really?.... Patronizing little fellow. So walked away and began to look around. I saw a sign that read "all glassware 50% off". I looked more and found a cute set of vintage glasses. Grabbed those and the end table and took it to the register. The woman at the register asked the man how much the table was. They charged me full price. I argued that the table was furniture and that was 50% off. They said that only "selected furniture was on sale" But that's not what's written on the sign. I liked the little table and I wasn't going to waste more time arguing for a few dollars, so I paid full price. They also tired to charge me full price for the glass set, but at the end they had to concede that the sign posted read "all glassware 50% off" We are talking about only a few dollars, but that's not the point. The point is that bate is and switch is unethical and an illegal business practice. That's what I give them a one star review."
"This place has some great finds for awesome prices! Such a charming little place. They get new items in DAILY and always have sales on things. The employees are always so helpful and the owner is very nice. The employees Kimberly and Jeffrey make this place fun to visit. One of the best parts is that all of their proceeds go to fund a summer camp for children so you can be sure that your money is going to a good cause. It's a win-win. Go pay this hidden gem a visit."
