Motamedi is a highly skilled orthopedic surgeon specializing in sports medicine, with a focus on knee and shoulder arthroscopy. Dr. Motamedi holds dual board certifications in Orthopaedic Surgery and Sports Medicine from the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery. He began his academic journey with a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of California, Berkeley, followed by a medical degree from Tulane University School of Medicine. His extensive training includes an orthopedic residency at the University of New Mexico and fellowships in sports medicine at UCLA and trauma at the University of Vienna. He also gained invaluable experience in shoulder surgery through a preceptorship with Dr. Richard Hawkins.
