Established in 1917, our library has grown into a vibrant 16,000 square foot facility, dedicated on December 14, 2013, offering a wide range of resources and services to residents of Pico Rivera and surrounding areas. As the larger of the two libraries serving the city, we also provide support to two smaller libraries in the unincorporated areas of Los Angeles County. Our library is more than just a place to read and borrow books. We host a variety of events and programs, such as the LA County Library’s Annual Bookmark Contest, inviting young artists from grades K-12 to showcase their creativity. We also partake in the One Book, One County celebration, bringing our community together through shared reading experiences.
