Patriots Park and Wall of Honor
Patriots Park and Wall of Honor is a 3-acre neighborhood park located at 6827 Palm Avenue in Fair Oaks, California. The park features a playground, walking paths, a butterfly garden, a Wall of Honor, portable restrooms, and a drinking fountain. Dogs are allowed on leash. The Wall of Honor is a lasting monument dedicated to residents of the Carmichael Recreation and Park District who sacrificed their lives for their country or community. Currently, there are 15 heroes listed on the wall, with an annual ceremony held to honor them. Families can apply for their loved ones to be considered for the Wall of Honor. Each hero's story is shared, such as that of Corporal Bruce Verhoeven, who was killed in the line of duty during a crime suppression detail. Other heroes include Robert, Danny, Lt. J.G. David A. Warne, Capt. Olin E. Gilbert Jr., Army Specialist James Edward Schlottman, Sgt. Brian E. Dunlap, and Sgt. Larry Howard Morford. These brave individuals are forever remembered by their families, friends, and the community. Visitors can pay their respects and learn about the lives and sacrifices of these local heroes at Patriots Park and Wall of Honor.
Studio 316
Studio 316 is a fine art institution located at 2697 Lavery Court in Thousand Oaks, California. They offer art classes and private parties for kids ages 8 , teens, and adults in the Conejo Valley area.
