"Disturbing hospital with even more disturbing staff. They talk to you like they know you, they discriminate and judge patients. They'll assume you're lying about your own symptoms. My water broke and one of the nurses asked "are you sure that came out of you or did you just dump water on the floor" WHILE I WAS EXPERIENCING THE WORST CONTRACTIONS. I was literally in labor and the nurses refused to assist me due to them thinking I was lying. So I said I didn't want to deliver here if they could pls call an ambulance for me and they said "since you're not our patient we can't help" I had no choice but to give birth here. It's been the worst delivery experience in the world, they called CPS before I even delivered. Then they called again after delivery. Then they waited until I fell asleep to take my baby to another room without my acknowledgment. It's been nonstop stressors since I gave birth. I'm still here, in pain, arguing w ppl that I have no business arguing with. They keep feeding me pork and milks and eggs, non stop nasty food. The food is the cherry on top, it fits their service, its gross. Two years ago one of my babies got diagnosed with a kidney disease and they also called CPS on me for another reason. They ORGAN TRAFFIC & long beach PD has a weird connection with DCFS. Protect your children from this city."

"Never will i go back. Most of the staff were nice. I had spinal surgery and was placed on the 3rd floor in February. But the older Caucasian nurse on that floor, comes across as a racist. Here’s why…. My mom was visiting me one day, as she was doing so, “that woman” ( the nurse) was looking at my chart. I asked her for a nerve relaxer, and she stated it wasn’t time for it and instead offered morphine. The next night when my surgeon came in to check on me, the same nurse from the night before decided to jump in the convo. She then tells my surgeon that i has been requesting morphine all night and day!!!! MY MOM said,” no she didn’t, you offered it.” The older Caucasian nurse commenced to arguing with us saying,” I KNOW WHAT I HEARD, I DON’T HAVE TIME FOR THIS, I HAVE A PATIENT TO TEND TO.!!!” And proceeded to run out the room. On that note, i felt so disrespected and lied upon, it makes me never return to that hospital. I felt like she was calling me a junkie. I don’t recommend anyone go there."

"I am around 7 weeks pregnant and having pain the lower left quadrant. Pain was not addressed till about 4 hours in to being here all tests and labs were completed around the 4 hour mark as well. Yet the wait time to be seen by a physician and to be discharged is around 12 hours. As a nurse who knows how hospital flow works this is outrageous! People should not be treated this way. This hospital needs a way better system! They say it’s because they have no beds why not have a triage are where you can discharge patients quickly who do not need to be admitted to the hospital. Why keep people waiting for a bed that they don’t need? This system is so incredibly flawed. I will never come here again nor recommend this hospital to anyone! You are better off driving further away to get adequate care!"

"I am currently at Long Beach Memorial Hospital ER Department I have been here since 6:59pm 1/29/2024 it is now 1/30/2024 6:15am I was sent here by my physician with a urgent referral form for a blood transfusion and I have yet to see a doctor the entire time I have been here. I would not refer anyone in this world to ever bring a loved one here to receive help because they will now receive help. They will push you to take pain meds for hours on in to just shut you up so that they can sit around and laugh and talk about patients in the triage room."

"Two weeks ago, I was so sick and weak and barely getting around. I checked in to ER. They admitted in the hospital where I stayed for two weeks. I received excellent care each and everyday by every nurse and their assistant. They were all so professional and friendly. The cleaning person kept my room and bathroom cleaned. When I pressed the button for the nurse, I received a response in a reasonable amount of time. The doctors came by daily to check on me and/or give me an update on my situation. Some days, I was able to select my meal preference. I enjoyed my stay there very much!!! Kudos to awesome staff there!!!"
