"We tent camped here and enjoyed our stay. The staff is friendly and courteous. The bathrooms are very clean. The pool is closed, but we knew that head of time. The sites are close together, but the creek was right behind our site, and the sound of the water was very soothing. We plan to stay here again. Highly recommend."
"We stayed 5 nights at this KOA in our travel trailer. Never had any issues and thoroughly enjoyed our time at South Lake Tahoe. This park is newly reopened after having been closed for 4 years, and the staff are working hard to get (and keep) things up and running. The pool isn’t opened and there’s no indication as to when or if it ever will be. The office staff were always pleasant and helpful. Just before we arrived they had a major issue with electricity , and had to replace all of their wiring. We never had any issues with the electricity, so we’re thankful for that. Never saw any bears thankfully. The staff told us that as long as we don’t keep food or wrappers outside the bears won’t be attracted. So we made sure to clean up outside every evening before heading into our trailer for the night. We would definitely recommend this place. Just keep in mind that the roads in the KOA are tight. We watched quite a few BIG motor homes and trailers slowly making their way around the park, and without a doubt it was tight."
