Wrong ! This place will ruin your garments and will try to keep them for a “ insurance claim” for anyone who lives in the 90250 radius save yourself a headache and just pass on this place"

"My family experienced some puzzling issues with Door to Door. Initially there is a culture pattern that insinuates they are right instead of acknowledging that they could possibly be wrong. There is also limited autonomy at store level to make a decision. It defaults to -- “need to check with management.” A handful of experiences illustrates our issues: (1) Requesting that we pay for cleaning that would be delivered late to our house as it wasn't available during store pick up — and then upon returning weeks later suggesting firmly that it wasn't paid for. And having to pay again but puzzled while recalling the experience?? (2) My wife had a fairly new and good condition comforter cleaned -- on premise that this business could clean comforters, we received a phone call that it would be delivered late as they were still drying. No issue with late delivery but it eventually arrived with clumps that my wife was not able to remedy. We ended up giving it away — while being fatigued with service issues here. (3) We brought in several brand new Carolina Herrera business shirts where a Santa Barbara hotel damaged the buttons upon first launder — some of which were repaired by Door to Door. One shirt they were not able to repair. It was a tedious claim with the hotel, that required a once sentence written confirmation — “Not reparable.” We must have been promised five times that we would receive this written confirmation from the office — provided our email etc. We never received, therefore not compensated in the claims process. (4) Yesterday, I picked up x4 business shirts laundered and folded for a trip. Upon check out, the staff said something that sounded like your charge is $16 dollars. I asked her to clarify when they were running my card because the staff was actually saying $69 dollars. I responded - “This isn't $69 dollars.” But Door to Door preceded to dictate it was rushed service. My feedback was, "I brought these in on Thursday morning. It’s Saturday. I did not request rushed service and I wasn't told that there would be additional charges for picking up three days later.” I received the token reply as any issue experienced here. "I'll need to check with the manager." And they were not able to amend the charge at store level. So, I sit here with a $69 dollar charge for four laundered shirts with a phone call from the store manager (after asking for the manager's phone number) offering they would look into it. But the proper approach would be to reverse a charge immediately that is inconsistent with reality while they investigate and then charge the appropriate fees. I offered to the manager in our discussion that I've honestly left the business thinking it could be some sort of racket — padding the bills?? Simply not the type of disruption a customer is looking for when just attempting to go about daily business. Unfortunately, the place needs a cultural overhaul."

I have been to numerous dry cleaners in the South Bay and Door to Door is very well priced, always does a great job and any time I have had a stain on all sorts of fabrics ( silk, cashmere, cotton, poly, etc) they have been able to get it out. They also fix a lot of my clothes if a strap breaks, there is a little hole, something needs to be altered. Def recommend :-)"
