Admiral Kidd Park
Admiral Kidd Park, located at 2125 Santa Fe Avenue in Long Beach, California, is a 12.29-acre park that offers a variety of recreational activities for visitors of all ages. The park features a free After School Activities Program for Teens ages 13-18, as well as Youth Sports programs for boys and girls ages 5-14, including flag football, volleyball, basketball, indoor soccer, and t-ball. Additionally, there are Winter, Spring, and Summer Fun Days for ages 5-12, with activities available Monday through Friday from 12-5 pm. The park, originally named in honor of Rear Admiral Kidd, who was killed in action at Pearl Harbor in 1941, has a rich history dating back to World War II. Over the years, the park has undergone various expansions and renovations, including the addition of a community center, soccer field, playground, and more.
