Rock Rose School for Creative Learning
Rock Rose School for Creative Learning is a unique institution located at 2135 Gum Tree Lane in Fallbrook, California. While we await permits for our new school site, we are pleased to offer Gum Tree Nature Camp, a sister program that provides a nurturing environment for parent and infant guidance classes. These classes, inspired by Waldorf and RIE principles, are designed for infants aged 6 weeks to crawling, offering caregivers a chance to relax, connect with others, and receive support. At Rock Rose School for Creative Learning, we believe in promoting a deep connection to nature, fostering a love for life, and encouraging a sense of wonder in children. Our early childhood program is dedicated to providing families with a supportive community where they can explore the joys and challenges of parenting together. Join us on this enriching journey as we inspire creativity, curiosity, and a lifelong love of learning.
Wendy Hunter
Wendy Hunter is a pediatrician at CPCMG Girard located at 3020 Children's Way in San Diego, California. Dr. Hunter, originally from Ithaca, New York, moved to San Diego with her husband after meeting at Cornell University. She decided to become a pediatrician because she loves children's perspective on life and enjoys keeping them healthy. Dr. Hunter's favorite part of working with children, parents, and families is being able to be silly and joke around during exams. She has a 15-year-old daughter and a 10-year-old son, and they enjoy staying active together by rappelling in canyons, flying airplanes, and working on their avocado farm in Fallbrook. Dr. Hunter's life advice for parents is to understand and trust their children's capabilities and to try not to worry too much. She maintains a healthy lifestyle by working out every morning and following a plant-based diet. In her spare time, Dr. Hunter plays drums, volunteers in her community, and started a community outreach program bringing pediatricians to read to kids and talk to parents about healthy behaviors.
