Sedgwick Reserve is a renowned research, conservation, and education facility situated in the picturesque Santa Ynez Valley of Santa Barbara County, California. Managed by the University of California Santa Barbara Natural Reserve System, this 6,000-acre park is a hub for interdisciplinary research and innovation in collaboration with the La Kretz Research Center. Visitors can explore the diverse flora, fauna, geology, and history of the reserve on docent-led hikes offered on Second Saturdays. These hikes cater to all levels of abilities, from easy and family-friendly to more strenuous treks. In case of inclement weather, hike cancellations will be communicated via email the day before.
