Our rich history dates back to 1949, originally as First Baptist Church of Capitola, evolving into Capitola Community Church in 2004, and finally becoming Calvary Chapel Capitola in 2012. We are proud to be affiliated with Calvary Chapel of Costa Mesa, founded by Pastor Chuck Smith, a pivotal figure in the "Jesus Movement" of the early 1970s. At Calvary Chapel Capitola, we are committed to teaching verse by verse through the entire Bible, always centering on Jesus Christ and Him crucified. Our mission is to know Jesus and make Him known, transforming lives through His word and shining His light into the world.
