"At Monterey Pines, no one here takes up any responsibilities. I told the leasing people that my car had been stolen and that someone had broken into it prior to the incident, but they seemed unconcerned. Furthermore, the women who are seated in the leasing office are the laziest people I have ever seen. They are completely lazy and unresponsive. Many homeless persons will be seen wandering around at night, and despite repeated complaints, nothing is done about it. Not even worthy a star."

"My 1 year honest review. I didn’t start off at Monterey pines as smoothly as I had hoped. After being on the waiting list for a little over two months I was informed that a unit was going to be available but instead of it being 1,529 it was now 1,729 for the 1 bedroom. After waiting for so long I opted to accept it. Come my move in date I was happy and excited to move into my new unit but the very first thing I noticed was that my unit looked nothing like the model unit. (This was a big downer) I specifically asked if my unit was going to have the same flooring as the model unit, I was told it would, it does not. ( this led to another of my bad experiences) but I also have to add that the ladies at the front desk are very nice and helpful. With that being said I want to say that my frustration dissipated rather quickly, what was done was done and I appreciated the complex much more than I was frustrated, the unit I got was not bad by any means, it has no infestations, the complex is well maintained, it’s VERY peaceful, the laundry room is clean ( I think that goes to show the character of the people living at M.P, it seems everyone cleans up after themselves) over the year I’ve been here I haven’t had any issues with the unit and again its very peaceful. One thing I wish was worked on was the flexibility of the percentage increase when renewing your lease. It seems like you can expect 10% increase no matter what. I’ve only had 3 bad experiences and 1 may be unique to my move In being the price change from 1,529-1,729 and too many positive things to list all in this review. I would recommend Monterey pines whole heartedly."

"Would avoid this place at all costs. They have a bait and switch tactic here. Everything looks pretty and nice until you sign your paperwork and then you find out your unit (as well as the rest of the property) is riddled with water problems and electrical issues. The Property is plagued by vandalism and breakins. (At one point their mail boxes were being broken into almost on a daily basis) Management is more concerned about making it look pretty instead of making it safe."

"Unfortunately, living here was a very poor experience. Through the duration of living here for a year we felt an unsettling level of harassment, lack of privacy, and extreme discomfort. They had “misplaced” our rent payment twice in attempts to make us pay late fees, when in fact we had never paid a late payment. There were continuous notices on our door for my dog who was not even on the premises the week of the notices. And to top it off a representative had walked up to my roommates window while she was in her room (scaring her) asking her to to move Christmas decorations from our window on January 2nd. When in fact we moved at the end of January and a neighbor had decorations still in their window. The level of harassment was unbelievable, now I personally do not write reviews but I was so astounded by the behavior and treatment of this complex from the leasing office that I couldn’t go silently. We were quite simple tenants, my boyfriend works graveyards and I work for a veterinary clinic we kept to ourselves. Just trying to enjoy our first home together, it was extremely disappointing that this was the treatment we received. Finally leaving they took our entire deposit when we had left everything the way we found it. Even shampooing carpets and scrubbing bathrooms despite the cleaning fee they take, we didn’t want to leave it dirty for the cleaning ladies. This place is not recommended by any means from my book. I recommend PineWood apartments on pine Ave they were amazing the whole duration of my living there."

"My husband and I lived here for the past two years, and have nothing but good things to say about our stay here. The only reason we found ourselves moving out was the need for a bigger apartment, as we now have qdditional family members staying with us. We had a very smooth move into the apartments as the manager and other staff were on top of the game at all times. The only real issue we had these two years was our A/C unit- it would break a few times, and after unsuccessful attempts to fix it, we were given a brand new unit- we were really pleased with the work that was done. Dallas (the mainenence person in charge) and the other maintenence guys were really nice, helpful, and polite at all times. Overall, we found our neighborhood to be quiet, and the apartment complex to have great amneties, such as two hot tubs, really nice pools, the gym, and volleyball nets. There are lots of trees and fresh grass on the premises, which is a nice change from the surrounding dry landscapes. Many residents may have found it bothersome to not have their own washers and dryers, but I believe that for the price we were offered for a one-bedroom apartment, we got a pretty sweet deal. Would definitely recommend these apartments!"
